Children’s Dentist in Aspen Hill

Get to Know Dr. Allison Keyes

Dr. Keyes finds endless joy while working with children. She has a simple goal every single day: to make your child’s dental visits fun so they are set up for a lifetime of healthy and beautiful smiles.

Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?

Dr. Keyes absolutely loved her pediatric dentist growing up, so much so that she decided to go into dentistry when she was in the 7th grade! The more she learned, the more interested she became, whether it was the science, the artistic aspect, the hands-on work, or connecting with young patients so they feel confident and comfortable.

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

Dr. Keyes graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park, before going on to earn her dental doctorate from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry (UMSOD). While there, she was the recipient of the Dean’s Community Service Award, Dean’s Research Award, Academy of Dental Materials Award, and the Timothy O. Heatwole Award for kindness, humanitarianism, and ethical behavior.

After graduating, Dr. Keyes completed her residency at UMSOD in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry program. As a lifelong learner, she is committed to staying up to date with the latest advancements to offer the best possible care to her patients. To stay current, she maintains memberships with the American Dental Association, Maryland Dental Association, Southern Maryland Dental Society, Early Dent Collective Study Club, Christian Medical & Dental Society, and the Maryland Sleep Society.

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

In her free time, Dr. Keyes enjoys volunteering, singing, reading, writing, going on walks, watching football games, and spending time with family and friends. Fun fact: She has a sweet tooth, with her favorite desserts being dark chocolate and ice cream!
