Your Child’s First Visit
If your child’s first visit with us is a checkup and cleaning, you can expect it to last for about an hour, depending on their age and the unique oral situation they’re in. One of our dentists will conduct a thorough examination of their teeth and gums and review their X-rays, making sure that there are no existing oral health issues that need to be treated. Before they leave, our dental hygienist will thoroughly clear away all plaque and tartar from the surface of their teeth, finishing their visit off by polishing their teeth and placing a fluoridated gel onto them.

Maryland Healthy Smiles Welcome
The Maryland Healthy Smiles Dental Program provides coverage for children who are under 21 years old, or former foster care recipients under the age of 26. It covers all basic preventive dental needs, including routine checkups and cleanings twice a year, X-rays, orthodontic care, and a variety of other treatments. We’re happy to accept this plan and can help you find out if your visit with us will be covered under your program.
Dental Membership Plan
If you don’t have dental insurance, that’s not a problem. We offer a dental membership plan that both you and your child can benefit from. For just $20 a month for children (ages 3-12) and $25 a month for teens (ages 13-18), your children can receive all of their basic dental needs, including checkups and cleanings, X-rays, and a 15% discount on all other treatments that Healthy Kids Dentistry offers.
